Thigh pain caused by scarring

We will first recall the notion of cicatricial neuropathy.

The causes of scarred thigh pain are (non-exhaustive):

  • Open renal, ureteral or adrenal surgery
  • Laparoscopic abdominal surgery (Stomach, small intestine, colon, gallbladder, pancreas, liver, spleen, etc.)
  • Kidney or ureteral or adrenal surgery by laparoscopic route
  • Abdominal aorta, iliac and femoral artery surgery
  • Anterior lumbar spine surgery
  • Open or laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery
  • Open gynecological surgery or caesarean section
  • Gynecological surgery by laparoscopy
  • Open or laparoscopic or robotic prostate surgery
  • pubalgia surgery
  • Abdominoplasty surgery, surgical liposuction
  • Wound, hematoma, abdominal burn
  • Testicular surgery
  • Hip surgery (prosthesis, abutment, etc.)
  • Femur surgery (particularly fracture)
  • Varicose vein surgeries
  • Open femoral artery surgery or femoral angioplasty
  • Wound, hematoma, thigh burn
  • Knee surgery (prosthesis, arthroscopy, etc.)
  • Bone graft harvesting from the iliac crest

If in doubt, if the symptoms do not match, you can refer to the guide to muscle pain.
