Posterior pain of the head of scar origin

We will first recall the notion of cicatricial neuropathy.

The causes of posterior pain of the head of scarring origin are (non-exhaustive):

  • Brain surgery:
    • Open surgery (trephination)
    • Stereotaxic surgery (doctor subscription)
    • Intraoperative head fixation system (doctor subscription)
  • Scalp wound (doctor subscription)
  • Scalp hematoma (doctor subscription)
  • Cervical spine surgery:
    • Anterior approach
    • Posterior approach (doctor subscription)
    • Intraoperative head fixation system (doctor subscription)
  • Cervical lymph node dissection (subscription to subscribers and doctors)
  • Carotid surgery (doctor subscription)
  • All surgeries of the anterior part of the neck can be responsible for a myofascial syndrome of the posteriormuscles of the neck (see the guide to muscle pain linked below)

If in doubt, if the symptoms do not correspond, you can refer to the guide to muscle pain.
