Open gynecological surgery or caesarean section

Reminder

Description

This surgery is performed by a more or less wide horizontal suprapubic incision (in green). It can be responsible, remotely, for abdominal and inguinal pain associated, sometimes, with vulvar and vaginal pain (first third of the vagina) responsible for dyspareunia. The middle part of the scar can also be responsible for dysuria such as bladder instability and urethral burns:

The diagnosis is suggested by a painful rolled palpation maneuver of the scar (of neuropathic characters). When there is dysuria, the damage is deep and it is sometimes difficult to trigger the pain on palpation.

Finally, in many cases, the protective position, leaning slightly forward, causes lower back pain which can dominate the picture (postural disorders).
