Thigh, knee and leg pain caused by scarring

We will first recall the notion of cicatricial neuropathy.

The causes of scarred thigh pain are (non-exhaustive):

  • Hip surgery (prosthesis, abutment, etc.)
  • Femur surgery (particularly fracture)
  • Open femoral artery surgery or femoral angioplasty
  • Wound, hematoma, thigh burn
  • Knee surgery (prosthesis, arthroscopy, etc.)
  • Wound, burn, hematoma of the knee
  • Leg wound, burn, hematoma
  • Varicose vein surgeries

If in doubt, if the symptoms do not correspond, you can refer to the guide to muscle pain.
