Pain after brain surgery MEDECIN LIBRE

Mrs. X, 60 years old, comes to the doctor for extremely disabling scalp pain. These pains appeared following surgery for a brain tumour. She describes burns, associated with electric shocks of an entire hemi-cranium (red zone).

His treatment includes anti-epileptic drugs, an antidepressant and morphine.
Despite this treatment, the patient is totally stunned by the pain.
Clinical examination of the patient found hyperesthesia of the entire scalp on the operated side (red zone). The examination of the scar causes electric shocks and an exacerbation of these pains (green zone).
Treatment of this scar improved the patient’s situation.
