Description
3 approaches to the central venous network are possible, the puncture area can be the cause of neuropathic pain:
- Jugular way
- Subclavian route (direct or through the cephalic vein)
- Femoral approach
In general, two areas for installing the chamber are possible:
- The pectoral area for the jugular and under-keyboard approaches
- The anterior iliac crest, or the anterior part of the thigh, for the femoral approach (rare)
Neuropathic pain, related to the insertion (or its ablation) of an implantable port, is located at the pectoral level and/or at the level of the neck. Radiation to the scapula or the face is possible. A gene in the rotation of the neck is sometimes described by jugular approach:
